INDIA AGAINST INHUMANITY

Daily striving to be a better nation !

~ Addvesh ; August 2019

“The Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Evidence Act, the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act will now stand amended” reported the News.

INDIA against INHUMANITY is the first thought that cross ones mind while reading this report. Humans, being the superior species on earth have the great responsibility to act and behave in a rather disciplined manner. Being one of the crusaders of “Social Sustenance”, we need to be involved in continuous refining of our thoughts.

“India should pay more attention towards women security”. This unofficial remark was given by the IMF head. India, being one of the most populous and one of the emerging global leaders has a great responsibility in this Social refining.

The issue of Women security has time and again been a tough one for India to deal with, be it the Nirbhaya Case or the recent cases of Kathua and Unnao. Till date, more or less, we have failed as a Society to prevent Gender based cruelties.

The elites are out on the streets vehemently opposing against the inhumanity. This rage will soon cool down with the passing days and will gradually convert into sadness. Some consider these protesters to be the Perfect Opportunists leveraging each and every incident as an opportunity.

The question concerning the nation is WHY? Why are we not able to help our society to think better ? Why do we need death laws to avoid such incidents? Why are we, as Human being not able to curb this Inhumanity? Why are we empowering these Social Opportunists ? and the bigger among the all is, Can India become a Rape free Nation ?

To negate the question some might discuss the scientific detail over Human behavior and psychology and explain how it is impossible to become a rape free nation. While in discussion with some of the elites, we can find the statements like “In the Population of over 1.21 billion, there is possibility of few such cases”. This not only perfectly projects their weakness against these crimes but also helps to show their hidden willingness to adapt to such social stigmas. One can simply find the “Lack of Will Power” to be the prime reason for these type of replies.

Hasn’t India became a Polio free nation ? Isn’t India the country having richest cultural heritage ? Doesn’t India considers itself to be an upcoming Superpower ? If the answer to these questions is Yes, then we have the questions in the former paras waiting for an affirmative.

Now the much desired question is How ? With strong will power, one also needs strong structure and plan. How are we going to fight against these Inhumane acts ?

To answer the “HOW ?” we need to understand that the basic rule of any war is to act offensive rather than being defensive. India needs to be more offensive towards the cultural scenarios leading to such Inhuman acts than setting up rules to defend its citizens. We need deeper case studies to enhance the policies which are offensive to the criminal ideology.

Nonetheless, unless we have a strong structure to address all the social scenarios, the rules will be the one coming in for our protection. Hoping for the positive results of these amendments and hoping for Humans to get better at Humanity.
